Madley is a womens
clothing and jewelry line inspired by fairy tale
archetypes, David Bowie, natural history, crystals,
feather hats, sea creatures, and the unexpected. Madley
founder, Coryn Madley, studied knitwear design at the
Rhode Island School of Design and Central St. Martins in
London, receiving her fine arts degree in 2001. Having
grown up in a forest bound log cabin, Madley derives her
inspiration from the fantastically natural.
Fall 2004 marked Madley's
debut runway presentation in Gen Art's "Fresh Faces In
Fashion". The collection grained critical praise from
numerous publications such as Los Angeles Times, WWD,
and California Apparel News. In fall 2006 Madley joined
forces with Caren Motika to open the Madley Boutique in
Venice, California. Showcasing local talent, Madley
originals, and vintage treasures, the boutique is a
haven for the fearless dresser.
The Madley line can be
found in many notable boutiques including Madison and
Fred Segal Rocks in Los Angeles, Dernier Cri and Henri
Bendel in NYC, Spree in Paris, Harvey Nichols in Hong
Kong, and Hana Class in Japan. The line is a favorite
among such stylish celebrities as Mischa Barton, Shiva
Rose, Christy Turlington, Sienna Miller, Nicole Richie,
Kristy Hume, Jessica Alba, Carolyn Murphy, and Carmen
Kass. Madley has been featured on the pages of many top
publications including Nylon, Japanese Vogue, Teen
Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, New York Times Magazine,
Lucky, Allure, In Style, US Weekly, and WWD. |
